Nebraska entered halftime up 34-32, dropping a 10-point lead and allowing Richmond to get back into the game. But the Huskers emerged from the locker room and outscored the Spiders 27-6 in the third to go up 61-38, putting the game away then and there.

The Huskers finished 29-of-51 from the floor and hit 11-of-22 from beyond the arc. The Spiders shot 21-of-53 and 4-of-23, respectively. Richmond did go 10-of-14 from the free-throw line, but almost all of it occurred in the first half. Nebraska held the Spiders to 0-of-1 in the second. Richmond also outrebounded the Huskers 29-26 but only secured 12 in the second half.
