AUBURN — Ugly weather reared its head three times over on the first day of the Auburn regional, and the final delay marked its end.

NC State baseball announced at 10:54 p.m. CT on Friday, May 29, that its NCAA Tournament-opener against UCF had been suspended due to an ongoing weather stoppage, and that it'd resume at 11:02 a.m. CT Saturday morning.

The game was delayed in the top of the eighth inning, with the Golden Knights up big on the third-seeded Wolfpack, leading 8-3. The contest had already been delayed significantly, moved off its originally scheduled start time of 5 p.m. CT by a little more than two hours.

Inclement weather first appeared in day's other game, in which 4-seed Milwaukee duped host Auburn baseball in shocking fashion, blasting the Tigers where they're strongest for a 13-8 result.

How's this affect the Auburn regional schedule? What to know

With the NC State-UCF game's resumption coming at 11:02 a.m. CT, that gives a two-hour window between its end and Game Three's originally schedule start time of 2 p.m. CT.

The fourth game of the day, between the Panthers and the winners of Game Two, is scheduled for a 7 p.m. CT first pitch.
