The OKC Thunder announced its roster for NBA Summer League play on Thursday.
OKC will compete in Salt Lake City Summer League, where it'll begin a three-game stretch with a matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies at 2 p.m. CT Saturday. It'll then begin its four-game slate in Las Vegas Summer League on July 10.
OKC's Summer League roster is headlined by its three selections in the 2026 NBA Draft. It added Michigan's Aday Mara (pick No. 12), Iowa's Bennett Stirtz (No. 16) and Kentucky's Otega Oweh (No. 41).
Here's a primer to get you ready for NBA Summer League:
NBA Summer League schedule 2026: When does OKC Thunder play in Salt Lake City, Las Vegas?
Aday Mara: OKC selected Mara with the No. 12 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. The 7-foot-3 center has elite size, boasting a 7-6 wingspan and a 9-9 standing reach that's tied with Mark Williams for the second-longest measurement in NBA Combine history. That helped Mara dominate down low during Michigan's championship run last season, where he averaged 12.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.6 blocks and 2.4 assists on 66.8% shooting from the field (30% from deep) as a junior. But there's also a lot of skill to Mara's game, as he's able to make impressive passes at his position. OKC now has a lot of center options in Isaiah Hartenstein, Jaylin Williams, Thomas Sorber and Mara. Still, its newest big man has plenty of potential and an understanding of what it takes to win.
Bennett Stirtz: OKC traded up one spot to select Stirtz with the No. 16 pick in the most recent draft. The 6-3 guard averaged 19.8 points, 4.4 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 1.4 steals as a senior at Iowa last season on 47.7% shooting from the field (35.8% from deep). Stirtz is a well-rounded offensive player who can space the floor, create his own shot and excel in the pick-and-roll. He also played in every game throughout his four-year college career despite logging heavy minutes, making him an iron man. That's valuable for OKC, which has a deep guard rotation but was still short-handed last season due to injuries. Defense remains an area of improvement for Stirtz, but he has plenty of elite players to learn from and an elite work ethic that helped him go from Division-II basketball to a Division I to the NBA.
Otega Oweh: OKC traded down from No. 37 to select Oweh with the No. 41 pick in the most recent draft. The 6-5 guard is a familiar face, having spent the first two seasons of his college career at OU before transferring to Kentucky. He averaged 18.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.8 steals as a senior last season on 46.5% shooting from the field (33.3% from deep). Oweh uses his size, length and physicality to be a tenacious on-ball defender. He's also highly disruptive, often racking up steals and capitalizing in transition. Oweh is a strong downhill attacker on offense, but his 3-point shot remains a work in progress. Still, he's joining an OKC team that has a history of developing talent well. If he can become a better floor spacer, he has a chance to stick in the NBA.
