The Golden State Warriors are continuing to establish themselves as a clear NBA title contender, under the leadership of head coach Steve Kerr.

Golden State defeated the Houston Rockets 104-93 in Game 3 of the first-round series, bouncing back from a Game 2 loss.

The Warriors now have a 2-1 series lead over Houston, the No. 2 team in the Western Conference.

With the Game 3 victory, Kerr moved into No. 6 in the all-time coaching playoff list, having 101 wins to his name.

The five coaches ranked ahead of Kerr on the all-time list include Phil Jackson, Pat Riley, Gregg Popovich, Doc Rivers and Erik Spoelstra.

Kerr has been with the Golden State Warriors since 2014, leading the organization to four NBA titles. He's established himself as one of the best coaches in NBA history, leading rosters that include Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson.

The Golden State Warriors will be back on the court for Game 4 of their first round series against the Houston Rockets on Monday at 10 p.m. ET.

In their Game 3 victory over the Rockets, the Warriors were led by Curry, who posted 36 points, seven rebounds and nine assists.

Golden State also had a great contribution from Buddy Hield, who recorded 17 points, two rebounds and two assists.

Under the leadership of Kerr, the Warriors are in prime position to advance to the second round of the NBA playoffs.
