Good to have a separate thread on this.

With Danny Green and Demarre Carroll both being signed what now is Plan B for the Suns??

Free agent Dwyane Wade and Miami are progressing in talks on a likely multi-year deal, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Read he wants $50 million. I guess chasing a ring is not important at this point in his career. He can ride those paychecks into the sunset. As this point, who would really give it to him knowing he is declining quickly and his body is already pretty broken. I thought for sure he would take less money to go to a team like the Clippers.

Lakers didn't make strong impression in Aldridge meeting, sources say. Spurs can close on him. LMA expected to make decision fairly soon.

Do Suns really have a chance on getting him.

Maybe.

The Spurs are clear leaders for Aldridge. As of now, the Suns are still scheduled to meet with Aldridge after SA does. Tough act to follow.

PJ Tucker is bascially the same player Demarre Carroll is only for 1/3 of the price.

Markieff Morris is making half of what Carroll makes and 1/4 of what Lillard makes.

We will have a bunch of super bargains on our payroll for the next years.

Bledsoe and Knight combined make about what Lillard makes alone.

I think most people thought Cleveland...

The problem with Cleveland is they could offer a low exception since there is no way Riley would do a Sign and Trade. I think I heard 3.5 million.

No, Spurs already have him locked up. He may finish the meetings with other teams out of formality but it's basically a done deal with him going to Spurs otherwise they wouldn't have traded Splitter.

Yup, and now they only need to free up about a million to be able to offer him a max. I wonder is Tim will take a cut to make it happen. Portland already said they won't do a sign and trade.

The Cavs are paying Tristan Thompson 5yrs/80+M$ ..

Kevin Love also staying in Cleveland, that will be a big payroll.

Nope. Never did.

In the meantime they're going to miss out on the 1a guys.

Basically the Cavs are paying Thompson and Love 200M$ over the next 5 years.

Knight and Bledsoe is a CHEAP backcourt.

Wow despite all the critics, Cavs managed to resign both Love and Thompson!

Griffin has done a good job with the Cavs, he learned well from Kerr. A shame we couldn't keep him instead of hiring Blanks....

A good job is overpaying Thompson and maxing Love?

LOL He is just spending money nothing else.

Cavs are now a lock to make the Finals and do it easily without having to wear out LeBron for like the next 5 years at least.

I gotta say I'm surprised Love agreed to sign now instead of taking a 1 yr deal and cashing in next summer on the new max which will be substantially higher than the current max. I guess he decided to sacrifice some to play with LeBron and Kyrie.

Good on Knight for not backing out and demanding more money, which he certainly could have considering what everyone else is getting. Looking foward to what he can do during a full season of (hopefully) being healthy.

Also, unless you can swing Bledsoe for a B+ player that balances out the roster I think you just roll with the 2 PG system again. I'm not even a Bledsoe fan but the system worked when Bledsoe and Dragic were surrounded with shooters.
