Following in suit with the NBA’s schedule teaser from yesterday, the league released even more information about the 2026-27 campaign earlier today to prime the audience before making the complete announcement tomorrow.

In the meantime, there is more information available for five Detroit Pistons games this season, including four which will determine whether the Pistons advance in the NBA Cup after their 2-2 performance in the mid-season tournament last year, though there have been a few small tweaks for the new iteration.

This time around, the Pistons kick off their NBA Cup slate on the road with a 7:30 pm matchup against the Brooklyn Nets scheduled for Oct. 30 in order to prime the fans for the competition before breaking into the heart of Group Play next month in November.

The Emirates NBA Cup 2026 Group Play schedule includes 15 national games across Prime Video, NBC/Peacock and ESPN.

After that initial foray, the Pistons have a couple weeks off before hosting the Toronto Raptors on Nov. 20 at 7:30 pm for their second NBA Cup contest. By this point, teams will begin to jockey for position in the tournament, and there should be a lot of coverage for the matchup since it will be nationally televised on Amazon Prime as the East Group A’s first time in the spotlight.

After that, tip-off time switches to 7 pm sharp a few days later when the Pistons travel down south for an NBA Cup contest against the Orlando Magic on Nov. 24. Last season, the Pistons and Magic squared off in a seven-game playoff series in the first round, so both franchises are more than familiar with each other heading into the game.

Finally, the Pistons last Group Play matchup in the NBA Cup will arrive on Friday, Nov. 27 against the Milwaukee Bucks in a battle that will also serve as a Central Division contest as well. The Pistons are set to host the Bucks for a 7:30 tip-off at Little Caesars Arena as the last part of their Group Play agenda, and the knockout round schedule will be assembled after that with the NBA Cup Championship coming on Dec. 11.

While the details of the NBA Cup took center stage for today’s announcement, the Pistons also received official word that they’ll be included in the league’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day event on Monday, Jan. 18, which will feature an NBC Sports quadruple-header. As for Detroit’s involvement, the Pistons are tabbed to take part in a Noon tip-off against the Cleveland Cavaliers on the road for this game, which will be broadcast on NBC and Peacock.

The Pistons are not featured on President’s Day, and it does not appear that they have any international games either after playing down in Mexico City last season.
