The 2026 NBA season is near as the schedule begins to come into focus with the first batch of games announced on Tuesday morning.

Among those games includes the first matchup of the season, which features two Eastern Conference playoff teams from last year as the Detroit Pistons will face the Boston Celtics on Oct. 20.

During the postseason, both teams were upset as the No. 2 seeded Celtics fell to the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round while the No. 1 seeded Pistons lost in the second round to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
