The Arizona Cardinals pairing new head coach Mike LaFleur with a veteran coordinator on offense. According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, they are making Nathaniel Hackett their new offensive coordinator.

Hackett has not directly worked with LaFleur yet, but the two are connected. Hackett replaced LaFleur as offensive coordinator on the New York Jets in 2023. He also was the offensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers from 2019-2021 under Matt LaFleur, Mike LaFleur's older brother.

Hackett has head coaching experience. He was the Denver Broncos' head coach for 15 games of the 2022 season.

He has also run offenses or coached quarterbacks for the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars.

He will not call plays for the Cardinals, as LaFleur has stated he will do that, but Hackett will bring years of experience and leadership.

So far, we know that Hackett will be LaFleur's offensive coordinator and Michael Ghobrial is expected to be his special teams coordinator. We are still waiting to hear what will happen with their defensive coordinator.
