Former Chicago Bears cornerback Nahshon Wright found a new home with the New York Jets this offseason, and he certainly earned the pay bump after an impressive 2025 season. But he also earned a little extra.
Wright, who made $1.1 million in 2025, earned a performance-based payout that more than doubled his salary with a $1.44 million payout. He led all NFL players with his bonus, and he's one of 25 players who earned more than $1 million in performance-based bonus.
Last season with Chicago, Wright found his way into a starting role following a myriad of injuries, but he proved his worth when on the field. Wright led the NFL with eight takeaways, including five interceptions with one returned for a touchdown. With Jaylon Johnson sidelined, Wright was Chicago's top cornerback, and his impressive performance earned him his first career Pro Bowl honors.
Wright totaled 80 tackles, three tackles for loss, five interceptions, 11 pass breakups, one touchdown, two forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and one QB hit during the 2025 season.
