Former Chicago Bears cornerback Nahshon Wright has found a new home. The Pro Bowler is signing a one-year, $5.5 million contract with the New York Jets, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
Wright, who signed a one-year, league-minimum deal last offseason, had a breakout year with a league-best eight takeaways as part of a defense that totaled an NFL-best 33 takeaways. Wright was a standout during training camp and preseason, and he found his way into a starting role with injuries to Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon. Wright, alongside safety Kevin Byard, was a standout on defense despite some struggles as a unit.
More to come.
