This one was recommended awhile back to me. It's nearly 3 hours, so I waited. Wow! What an an absolute masterpiece of a movie! It's on Prime right now.
Directed by Kang Je-kyu, My Way (2011) is a sprawling, big-budget South Korean historical war epic. The film is loosely inspired by the incredible, semi-legendary story of Yang Kyoungjong—a Korean soldier captured by the Americans on D-Day who had been forced to fight in the Japanese Imperial Army, the Soviet Red Army, and the German Wehrmacht.
The movie anchors this continent-crossing journey around the shifting relationship between two rival marathon runners.
