These 4 are all ranked higher than our #24 pick, however 1 or more are likely to be available to us, unlike the 3 top OLBs (Ray, Beasley, Gregory) we all like so much. They could be in any order, for I feel they all are worthy of our Cardinals' attention. I do admit that, personally, I drool every time I think of Brown. I just can't keep from picturing him as the beast every team wants up front. Hopefully, he doesn't disappoint me wherever he goes.

Trae Waynes, Michigan St. CB – By far the creme de la creme of the CBs this year. What a duo he would make opposite Peterson.

Landon Collins, Alabama, S – Super-versatile is what Kiper refers to him as. Just what we need to cover those TEs that we seem so inept at. He can play back just as well as he can play up close versus the run. Appears to be the perfect safety for our modern passing game.

Cameron Erving, Fl ST, C/G/T – Can't say enough about a player this good who can cover your rear end at so many positions inside. Would be our starting center for years to come, as well as a great backup in emergency situations all along the line. With Cards' struggles at OL, he would seem really hard to pass on if available.

Malcom Brown, Texas, DT - I can't say enough about him. Could be a beast vs the run, yet dominate rushing the passer up the middle. I just love this kid and would be my 1st choice if we don't get lucky in one of the top 3 LBs dropping down to us.

If I had to rank them on my Cards' Big Board, I suppose I would go:

1. Brown, DT
2. Collins, S
3. Erving, C/G/T
4. Waynes, CB

I could be happiest with any of these 4 future all pros as our pick.

Mine...

Cameron Erving - OL (C) - Florida St.

Shaq Thompson - ILB - Washington

Eric Kendricks - ILB - UCLA

Marcus Peters - CB - Washington

I don't really like any of the edge prospects who look to be available at this spot.

Pretty much this if you swap out Erving for Eli Harold.

I don't know much about M.Brown, but if he is what you say he is, filling that hole at NT with a beast like that paired next to CC would be mean.

I can't see T.waynes, falling to 24, I think he's the 1st corner off the board. If we're looking for a CB tough, I could see M.Peters there. He's a top 10 talent that may fall due to off the field issues.

If we end up landing Orakpo, I don't see us going LB in rd 1, maybe later in the draft though. This front office has said over and over a rd1 pick should step right in and make an impact. If we have Okafor, Weatherspoon, D.Wash and Orakpo at LB, those are out starters with Shaughnessey, Minter and Woodley as depth.

With as much as we've invested n the OL, I don't see us going OL in rd 1. I see NT or Rb if we don't pick one up in FA

I dont think there is a chance Malcom Brown makes it to 24. But if he did

I would love to have him. I think the big five pass rushers will be gone

as well. So my guess in the first round is a corner. Marcus Peters would

fit here.

Marcus Peters is a turd from what had been said locally.

Some new names to consider:

Erik Armstead, DE/DT Oregon. 6-7 and super athletic. A Campbell clone who is raw.

Maxx Williams, TE Minn. Jason Witten type TE -- good enough blocker in the run game, can get down the seam in the passing game. Good run after catch guy.

Danny Shelton, DT UW. Mocks have him going higher, but I have read two draft pubs I think are good that predict the second half of round 1 for him due to perceptions that he will be one dimensional, 2 down player.
