SHREVEPORT, LA (KTAL/KMSS) — On Sunday the Shreveport Mudbugs hosted the Lone Star Brahmas, wrapping up a three-game stretch at George’s Pond.
The Mudbugs had some decent chances early but couldn’t capitalize. In the first period, the Brahmas struck first off a poor clearance that found the stick of Tyson Scanlon.
It wasn’t until the second period when the goals started pouring in for the Brahmas. Lone Star scored three times in the period to extend the lead to 4-0.
Shreveport didn’t get on the board until the third period, when both Charlie Burchfield and Jeremiah Roberts scored. The Mudbugs would fall to Lone Star 6-2.
With the loss, the Mudbugs drop to sixth place in the NAHL South Division.
The Mudbugs will be back in action on Friday, March 6, as they host the Odessa Jackalopes.
