Michael Douglas plays Nick Van Orton, a millionaire investment banker who is becoming increasingly depressed with his life and his rich lifestyle. His younger brother Conrad tries to cheer him up by giving him a very mysterious birthday gift. An invitation for a game that involves the individual participant in a seemingly real-life scenario which blurs the edges between fact and fantasy, and which is deliberately tailored to suit each participant's personality. Douglas doesn’t know when the game starts and ends. The end is a little far-fetched, but all in all, I liked it.

I really liked it, including the ending. Very cool movie. Saw it the first night it came out without really knowing what to expect. Very entertaining.

I liked it, but that ending is so horribly bad, it ruins the movie for me.

**********SPOILER**************

How did they know that he would jump off the building at that EXACT spot? I mean, what if he jumped off somewhere else? Gimme a break!

Yeah, it had some plot holes, but overall I thought it was a good movie.

Maybe they had some safety measures in effect at both of the other possible jump spots (left and right). I believe he turned and jumped from the edge directly opposite from his brother, right? It was the MOST LIKELY place he would do it from. And someone (Penn?) says "If you hadn't jumped I was going to have to push you."

Still didn't ruin it for me.

Clever movie.

Please, this wasn't a plot hole....the entire movie was based on the fact that these guys could predict and plan out EXACTLY what he would do, and how he would react, down to the last detail.

So it was a perfect ending that they knew he would jump, and from where.

I loved the ending. It can't be a "plot hole" if they meant it to be that way.
