After a weekend of results that shake up the Mountain West championship race once again, we move on to Week 11 for the Mountain West and the rest of college football.

Looking over at FanDuel’s opening odds can tell us a bit about what the oddsmakers think about this week’s slate of games. Since we cover the entire Mountain West, we have info for every team in addition to your favorite one.

This post is not to tell you who to bet on, but merely serves as a spot to find info from FanDuel and then get our interpretation on the odds and betting lines.

FanDuel Odds & Thoughts

Air Force/UConn: +7.5 Falcons, O/U 63.5

  • An unusually late in the season out-of-conference clash for the Falcons, they’ll travel all the way to Connecticut for a Noon EST contest. The Falcons finally found a way to close a game in San Jose, can they do it again this week? Oddsmakers have them as a touchdown underdog.

Colorado State/New Mexico: -14.5 Lobos, O/U 53.5

  • Unexpectedly in the thick of the conference race, the Lobos are in the unusual position of strong favorite against the interim coach-led Rams. Can New Mexico handle the pressure of expectations?

San Jose State/Nevada: +9.5 Wolf Pack, O/U 52.5

  • A bleak season rolls on for Nevada football after what might’ve been one of the most embarrassing losses in program history in Logan, Utah last week. They’re a sizeable home underdog against a San Jose State that is frustrated as well after losing to Air Force. I don’t think the Wolf Pack has the offensive firepower to keep up in this one.

Utah State/UNLV: -6.5, O/U 71.5

  • You read that correctly, an astonishing o/u total of 71.5. Anthony Colandrea vs. Bryson Barnes, possibly the two best quarterbacks in the conference. Expect a ton of points in this de facto elimination game in the conference race.

Boise State/San Diego State: -2.5 Aztecs, O/U 41.5

  • Just a few weeks ago, these two programs appeared to be way out in front in the conference race. Now Boise State is in crisis with quarterback Maddux Madsen out with injury, and the Aztecs are coming off a shocking blowout loss to Hawaii. Points are expected to be at a premium.

Wyoming/Fresno State: -3.5 Bulldogs, O/U 40.5

  • Both the Cowboys and the Bulldogs are coming off of a bye into this game, rested after having an extra week to prepare for each other. Fresno State is flying high after destroying Boise State, but questions at quarterback remain. Wyoming’s offense isn’t exactly on-point either.
