1. I'm leaving here after Monday morning practice, cutting my stay by two days, so others among you must pick up the slack. If you come to camp, please post your impressions.
2. I think Kevin Kasper will not make the team simply because they've put him in the slot. Tall receivers or speed burners do well in the slot. Kasper is neither. He's getting screwed. Hope I'm wrong.
3. The oline may not be as bad as we think. Coach Deek Pollard is a pass rushing specialist and we have great speed WITH bERRY, dOCKETT, Bryant, Pace, King, Antonio Smith, KVB, and our entire LB corps. None of those guys are slow and the scheme is wonderful. This team will improve more on defense than offense. Watch and enjoy. Joe Greene and Marmie were even worse as coaches than we thought.
4. Shaun King was rusty. I'm convinced. He still screws up but the last two days, he's been much sharper. He might be OK as a backup.
5. McCown doesn't trust Gilmore, IMO. Bryan is open and Josh never looks at him but Josh spreads the ball around to everybody else.
6. Competition at RB is fierce and at safety and CB as well. The more I think of it, competition in this camp is fierce at almost every position. More surprise cuts are coming methinks.
