That's 30 pounds off last years playing weight, I got the impression he'd gained 20-25 after the surgery. I think he's closer to 320-325 than to 305, which is about 10-15 pounds off his 335 of last year.

Russ,

Thank you for setting me straight on this. At 305, he's too light for either OT or OG

Man thats ruff...I feel for him as my mom passed 4 months ago...this should put the fire in his belly, as it did me.

Nonsense. Lomas Brown was allpro LT at 275 LBS. Shelton is lighter than he's ever been as a Cardinal and he looks quick. The coaches have already told him they are pleased with the results.

1. That second string dline with Calvin Pace, Wendell Bryant, and KVB sure looked good. Denny said Pace and Berry might both play in the nickel package on 3rd down. And KVB might soon start if he stays healthy, IMO.

Thats great news on all fronts. But I hope that Pace and Berry are our starting DEs come opening day!

Whats's his weight? That's really what we were trying to figure out, did he lose 30 pounds from last years weight or after going up to 350-360?

he's a big guy, I can't imagine him at 305.

I agree. I think it is more important for Shelton to be quick than big. Shelton relies on his athleticism.

Dropping the weight also makes it that much easier on his ankles!

I'll ask LJ for his exact weight after practice this afternoon.

Thanks for the great news. KVB if back is one great guy to have on your side, lot's of spark. A kiss ass kind of guy. I wish him well, it's hard coming back twicw let alone play football. I hope Shelton is given a chance. This kid we all know can be a big time talent. If Starks is back we should be respectable back there. 8 men in the box and three good cover guys. SWEET!

I agree having KVB back full speed is a real plus. But hey, where are all the KVB haters? Last year he was getting ripped apart on this board.

I'm not a "hater" (at least, not a KVB-hater; I hate plenty of other stuff), but I don't think he's anything special. I hope he proves me wrong-- I think he's a marginal starter, but a good backup/rotation guy.

Dude, one camp report is precious little to get excited about from a 2nd round draft pick in his contract year.

Let's see if he makes it through camp before we get excited.

I know that one only notices O-linemen when they screw up, but how is Anthony Clement looking? I'm kind of expecting a bouce-back year for the kid.

Yeah, like Fisher.

I wasn't calling out the Fisher-haters, though.

FUN FACT: Third-year pro Levar Fisher has appeared in more regular-season NFL games (23) than fourth-year pro and 34th-overall draft pick Kyle Vanden Bosch (19).

6. Shaun King threw short into the ground several times.

My prediction is Shaun King does not make this team. I think we'll pick someone else up to be 2nd or 3rd team and Navarre is the backup.

I don't think that's likely... I still think he'll be a serviceable backup. But who knows with Denny in control.

I think perhaps that we'll keep King, but that he'll become third string and Navarre will become the backup QB behind McCown.

Skkorp did LJ ever line up at RT instead of LT?

I just want to know if someone is pushing Clement for his job.
