The 2026 MLB season is through five weeks. Following suit with previous seasons, this is the common point in the schedule where players break out of early-season slumps. Of course, certain players are continuing their outstanding production. This is what makes baseball the greatest sport in the world. Entering week six, here are the top 10 third basemen rankings.

Muncy is healthy and off to a torrid start. Entering the week, he leads the Dodgers in home runs. He’s fallen short of 40 home runs in four seasons, but this can be the year he reaches the plateau.
Ramirez is heating up, and this doesn’t bode well for opposing teams. After a slow start, the Cleveland third baseman is doing damage via the long ball and stealing bases. He’s aiming for a third consecutive season reaching 30 home runs and 40 stolen bases.
After a modest few weeks, Caminero has found his stride. The second-year player is locked in and demolishing opposing pitchers. Junior Caminero will be the face of the Rays for the next decade.

Donovan was the catalyst to Seattle’s offense before suffering a groin injury. Still, his fast start sees his numbers among the league’s best third basemen. The Mariners are anxiously awaiting his return as they have their sights set on a deep postseason run.
Last season, Jung didn’t look right following wrist surgery in 2024. He struggled the entire season to regain his post-injury form. This year, he is fully recovered and hitting the ball with authority.
Rosario’s lack of power leads to him being overlooked. He’s made a career or being a good MLB player. This season, he’s using his experience to his advantage.
Vargas won’t hit for a high average and racks up swings and misses. However, when he’s locked in, he displays above-average power. Entering the week, Vargas is riding a hot streak.
Sep 24, 2025; West Sacramento, California, USA; Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa (1) hits a double against the Athletics in the ninth inning at Sutter Health Park. Mandatory Credit: Cary Edmondson-Imagn Images
Correa looks to be over the back issue that plagued him for the better part of two seasons. He’s off to a great start to the season and reaching base at the highest rate in his career. He will play a major role in helping Houston reach the playoffs following last season’s disaster.
He’s streaky, but when he’s on, he’s on. Chapman hasn’t hit for power early on, but his emphasis on contact is noticeable. The veteran is reaching base at the highest rate of his career.
Garcia is battling a slow start following last year’s breakout season. Entering the week, he’s struggled with off-speed pitches that have led to swings and misses. However, the entire Royals lineup has struggled through the first month of the season.
