The 2026 MLB season is entering its ninth week. There has been tremendous baseball played in the early part of the season. Many players are making early cases for All-Star selections and yearly awards. There is a lot of baseball left, and the 2026 season has been extraordinary. Here are the top ten outfielders entering week nine.

1. Aaron Judge, New York Yankees

The back-to-back AL MVP enters the week ranked at the top in home runs among MLB outfielders. Through eight weeks, Judge has an OPS over 1.000. He is well on his way to a third consecutive MVP award.

2. Mickey Moniak, Colorado Rockies


Moniak hasn’t slowed down and enters the week with the highest OPS among MLB outfielders. He is leading the Rockies in home runs and RBI. Mickey Moniak has become the definition of a late bloomer.

3. Andy Pages, Los Angeles Dodgers


Pages’ hot start continues. Entering the week, he leads MLB outfielders in RBI. He has been the Dodgers’ best hitter and can surpass last season’s totals of 27 home runs and 86 RBI.

4. Jordan Walker, St. Louis Cardinals


Jordan Walker has everything clicking. Entering the week, he leads St. Louis in home runs and RBI. He ranks third in home runs among MLB outfielders.

5. Riley Greene, Detroit Tigers

After his big 2025 season, Riley Greene showed he’s a future star. This season, home runs haven’t come in bunches, but he’s seen considerable improvements to his batting average and on-base percentage. Entering the week, Greene leads MLB outfielders in hits.

6. James Wood, Washington Nationals


He’s going to strike out, but Wood is one of the brightest, young power-hitting outfielders. Entering the week, he leads Washington in home runs. Soon, Wood will be a consistent threat to hit 40 home runs.

7. Mike Trout, Los Angeles Angels


Trout has seen his batting average decline, but he’s staying healthy. Entering the week, he leads the Angels in home runs and RBI. If he stays healthy, he can reach 30 home runs for the first time since 2022.

8. Oneil Cruz, Pittsburgh Pirates


Cruz has unmatched power and speed. Entering the week, he is one of two Pirates players with 10 home runs and 25 RBI. He is the only MLB outfielder who has reached double-digit home runs and stolen bases.

9. Byron Buxton, Minnesota Twins

Buxton is staying healthy this season, having finished last season with the most games played in his 11 seasons. When healthy, he’s a perennial All-Star. Entering the week, he is tied for second, among MLB outfielders, in home runs.

10. Ryan O’Hearn, Pittsburgh Pirates


Along with Brandon Lowe, Ryan O’Hearn has been Pittsburgh’s best offseason acquisition. He’s started off the season well, posting the best slash line of his career. Entering the week, O’Hearn is second on Pittsburgh’s roster in home runs and RBI.
