With the best record in Major League Baseball at 35-16, the Atlanta Braves are an obvious candidate to be a buyer by the August 3rd trade deadline.

Atlanta has a great roster, and they could use more offensive firepower, but the bigger need is more pitching depth. Whether it's a reliever or a starter, the Braves need a bit more help.

With a pitcher need in mind, MLB insider for Fansided.com, Robert Murray, revealed that a Colorado Rockies pitcher on a $50.5 million deal, 1.19 ERA reliever, Antonio Senzatela, would be a great fit for the Braves at this year's deadline.

"The Atlanta Braves would be a good fit," Murray writes. "Their bullpen is already strong with Robert Suarez and Raisel Iglesias in the late innings, and adding Senzatela would give them an even more formidable unit while taking pressure off the rotation."

Adding Senzatela to the pitching staff would make a ton of sense for the Braves. They have solid starters and a couple of nice back-end relievers.

But what this team could use is a versatile piece who could be used as a long reliever, whether it's to close out games, or bridge the gap between the starter and the closer.

This season, Senzatela has a 1.19 ERA in 14 games with 26 strikeouts in 30.1 innings pitched to go with 1.9 bWAR.

The 31-year-old typically goes multiple innings at a time and can be a versatile reliever option for the Braves that likely won't cost much with his status as a free agent after the 2026 season, with a club option as well.

He's a perfect option for the Braves to acquire pitching talent without spending too much in the trade market.

Murray likes this fit for the Braves, grading it an "8/10" thanks to the versatility, cost, and simply how well the player would fit into the current roster. Senzatela would be a nice pickup for the Braves, and is deserving of being this good a fit.
