In the final hour before the 2026 Major League Baseball trade deadline, the Milwaukee Brewers further fortified their bullpen with a trade for Colorado Rockies right-hander Antonio Senzatela, sources told the Journal Sentinel.
The Brewers are giving up left-handed pitching prospect Mark Manfredi and 19-year-old infielder Juan Martinez. Neither prospect is ranked in the Brewers top 30 according to MLB Pipeline.
Senzatela, a 31-year-old native of Venezuela, has been with the Rockies since 2017, even facing the Brewers as a starter in the 2018 National League Division Series.

This is the first year he has worked exclusively out of the bullpen, and he has a 3.61 earned run average in 34 appearances, with three saves and 46 strikeouts in 52⅓ innings.
With a 9-2 record, he's a contender with Brewers left-hander Aaron Ashby (12-2) for most wins by a relief pitcher this season.
Senzatela has a 3.36 FIP (fielding independent pitching) and has allowed just four homers. He signed a five-year, $50.5 million deal with the Rockies and has a club option for the 2027 season at $14 million.
He has a 4.81 ERA pitching at Coors Field this year, whereas on the road he has a 2.57 ERA.
