I like Wisnieski and Weathespoon...Irving is ok...I don't think much of Shipley. I wish we would pursue Rodney Hudson, but he is looking for big money.

The Raiders plan to let free agent C Stefen Wisniewski test the open market.

Wisniewski isn't expected to be re-signed after the Raiders failed to get an extension done during the season. He's been a full-time starter since entering the league in 2011 -- missing only three games over the last four seasons. 25-year-old Wisniewski should draw interest from multiple teams. He's seeking a contract in the range of $3 million annually.

That sounds affordable. I'd rather see that $3 million to to Wisniewski than Dockett.

I think we are going after Orakpo. If healthy, he is a game changer.

This is pure speculation but I am reading in to Carson Palmer's comments about how we will get better next week. Wisniewski was his center and he would certainly have insight to whats up with him. I bet this is a done deal.

But he can't stay healthy.

He's played in a total of 71 out of a possible 96 games in 6 years...He's had 2 injuries that sidelined him for the bulk of 2 seasons...the other 4 seasons he's been a healthy beast. It's not like he's had an injury that's cost him multiple games in each year he's been in the NFL.

A.Q. Shipley has been garbage for the Colts.

I agree. Unless they are looking to find a super cheap backup. I don't see how this would make the interior OL any better. It would be a step back for sure. Maybe they bring in both Wisniewski and Shipley (as a backup) and drop Sendlein?

No argument, I like him. But he torn his pec for the third time last season. I just worry about the risk. Teams are going to go after him as he is a very good pass rusher for sure.

Would love Weatherspoon and Wisniewski. I'm not sure what they see in Shipley. Isn't he undersized? No mention of any OG?

Or maybe cheap competition across the line--kind of like a Ted Larsen? He played both guard positions as well as center.

Weatherspoon cant stay healthy. Much rather try Irving.

Sean Weatherspoon is better at football than Nate Irving, who isn't very good at football. If you're just looking for a warm body who's not good at football to play ILB, we already have Kevin Minter.

Wisnewski or whatever he listed as C/G
I wouldn't like Shipley and Wisniewski as the "upgrade" to the interior OL. I'm not sure that combo would be better than Sendlein/Fanaika. Now Wisniewski and a guy like Boling or Iupati would be nice and an upgrade.

I LOVE the idea of Sean Weatherspoon on this team. Have liked him since the draft and other then last year he has balled out. I think ATL is closing to signing him though.

Read that he viewed the cause of his pec injuries as heavy, heavy lifting and now has changed his routine to "bands" and other less stressful strength builders / maintainers.
