The one to David Johnson. On redZone they did it so quickly I couldn't tell for sure wasn't that a helmet to helmet hit on an overthrow? I know they changed the rule but I thought that's supposed to be a penalty?

They switched so quickly I couldn't tell if the Cards were complaining or not.

It was a bad throw and right after a high throw that Jaron Brown couldn't pull in which would have put us in FG range.

Just wondering if they said anything during the telecast, my initial reaction was I've seen that called often but not sure if the rule change impacts it now.

Gurley was impressive and failing to cash in several times in the Red Zone or stop them on 3rd down killed us.

Yeah the officiating was really bad. Cardinals caused and recovered 2 fumbles on the same drive, and both were botched calls by the officials keeping the ball in possession of the Rams. That was a game-turning moment.

They brought that up on Redzone too. I think Pereira said one of them was clearly a fumble in his mind the other was a fumble but called not a fumble and the replay wasn't conclusive enough to overturn.

I didn't see either they were showing other games.

Russ, on the 1st one - Gurley fumbles, 3 Cardinals jump on the ball, Rams pile on them & ripped the ball away in a scrum. Rams keep the ball. Replay shows clear recovery by AZ.

2 - Gurley tries to run outside, Minter & Rucker (I think) hit him, push him back a step & then tackle him to the ground... the ball flies out on the way down & Cards clearly recover. Refs rule that forward momentum was stopped so there was no fumble & therefore the play can not be reviewed ( I didn't hear any whistle stopping the play before the fumble). Rams get to punt the ball instead of AZ having it somewhere around 8-12 yard line... we ended up getting the ball around the opposite 40-45 yard line instead.

Beyond that, refs missed 2 late hits by the Rams on John Brown... 1st time they blew the whistle then a second later 2 Rams hit JB with 1 hit looking like helmet to helmet. 2nd time, Brown had his forward momentum stopped, refs blew the play dead & then the defender picked JB up, spun around and threw him about 3 yards out of bounds. Another minor missed call was the Rams using the football as a prop for a TD celebration... personally I think that rule is stupid, but if it's a rule then enforce it.

Well, it wasn't gurley on the 2nd fumble, it was Cunningham, but otherwise you explained it as I saw it.

That officiating was beyond ridiculous. At the very least, they should all be punished by the league for total ineptitude.

Yep! The Cardinals lost and that's on them.

But, that entire game was God-awful officiating and favored the Rams. That crew doesn't deserve to officiate in the NFL!

Yea, iirc you can't go to the ground for a TD celebration either.

I thought it was a swing pass to Cunningham?
