MIDLAND Midland ISD celebrated the accomplishments of 19 student-athletes from Young Women’s Leadership Academy, Legacy High School and Midland High School who signed National Letters of Intent during ceremonies held on Wednesday. This signing day was for college football and several other NCAA sports.
Families, teammates, coaches, and campus leaders came together to celebrate their perseverance, dedication, and accomplishments. These student-athletes have chosen to continue both their academic and athletic journeys at colleges and universities nationwide.
Wes Torres, Executive Director of Athletics, noted, “Nineteen signees in one day is a remarkable achievement that speaks volumes about the culture of dedication in our MISD athletic programs. Their success in swim, soccer, baseball, softball. golf, track and field, and football are a direct result of their hard work in the classroom and their drive to compete. We are incredibly proud to see them take this next step.
National Signing Day represents years of effort, growth, and commitment. Both on the field and in the classroom. Midland ISD congratulates each student-athlete and their families as they plan for their futures.
