MIDLAND Midland ISD continues to celebrate the accomplishments of student-athletes from Legacy High School and Midland High School who signed National Letters of Intent during ceremonies held on Wednesday. This signing day was for Division I football and all other Division I and II sports.
These student-athletes have chosen to continue both their academic and athletic journeys at colleges and universities nationwide. Families, teammates, coaches, and campus leaders came together to celebrate their perseverance, dedication, and accomplishments.
“We are proud to celebrate these talented student-athletes,” said Wes Torres, Executive Director of Athletics. “These signings are the result of hard work and dedication, both on the field and in the classroom. We are excited for these athletes, and their families, as they take the next step to compete at the collegiate level.”
National Signing Day celebrates the years of preparation and dedication that brought these students to this moment. Midland ISD congratulates each student-athlete and their families as they plan for their futures, a news release said.

* Payton Brooks, softball — University of Texas Permian Basin
* Parker Brooks, softball — University of Texas Permian Basin
* Peyton Little, softball — Oklahoma Panhandle State University
* Saidy Melendez, softball — Western Texas College
