Miller Green of Vanderbilt baseball is entering the transfer portal, USA TODAY Sports has confirmed.
The left-handed pitcher and Lipscomb Academy product spent three years with the Commodores and totaled a 3.64 ERA and eight saves across 45 appearances and 59⅓ innings. His best season came as a freshman in 2024, when he recorded a 3.16 ERA and three saves in 20 appearances, striking out 34 and walking eight in 31⅓ innings.
In 2025, Green started the season as the closer but lost the job shortly after the start of SEC play. He put up a 3.80 ERA with five saves in 20 appearances but his walk rate increased as he issued 11 walks to 28 strikeouts in 23⅔ innings.
Green was a draft-eligible sophomore in 2025 but did not get drafted and returned to Vanderbilt. He suffered an injury prior to the start of the season that kept him out until April and ultimately made just five appearances, putting up a 6.23 ERA with seven strikeouts and five walks in 4⅓ innings. He is draft-eligible again in 2026 and could opt to turn professional if he does not transfer.
