Clemson baseball is set to lose one of its freshman pitchers, with Peyton Miller confirming that he plans to enter the transfer portal.
Miller appeared in six games out of the bullpen during his first season with the Tigers. Across 4.1 innings pitched, the right-hander posted a 4.15 ERA while allowing three runs, two earned, on five hits. He also recorded two strikeouts and three walks during his limited action on the mound.
The freshman arrived at Clemson from IMG Academy as one of the more intriguing young arms in the program’s recruiting class. The 6-foot-4, 205-pounder was viewed as a promising prospect entering college, with Perfect Game ranking him as high as the No. 206 freshman nationally entering the 2026 season and the No. 52 freshman in the ACC.
Miller also saw time as a two-way player during fall workouts before moving into a relief role this spring. His most recent appearance came on May 16 against Virginia Tech, when he logged one-third of an inning out of the bullpen.
With Miller entering the portal, Clemson will now see another offseason roster change as the Tigers begin turning their attention toward next season. He leaves the program with three seasons of eligibility remaining.
