Mike Brown may have revealed too much about the Knicks' playoff strategy originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.

The New York Knicks have just three games remaining until the playoffs start, and they seem to be fairly entrenched in the Eastern Conference's No. 3 seed. There's a chance they could rise to No. 2, but it would take quite the collapse from the Boston Celtics.

When the playoffs roll around, lineups tighten, and roles are truly carved out. For the Knicks, it's no difference, and it seems head coach Mike Brown has already figured out the nine-man rotation he plans on utilizing throughout the NBA playoffs.

At least, he told the media as much.

Mike Brown reveals Knicks' nine-man playoff rotation

Speaking with reporters before the Knicks' Thursday night tilt against the Celtics, Brown revealed that his playoff rotation will look similar to what people saw Monday night against the Atlanta Hawks.

"Asked about playoff rotation, Mike Brown said his nine-player rotation in ATL is close to what’s expected in postseason. 'The top nine, those guys are probably our top nine. When you're talking about playoffs, it's hard to play more than nine guys,'" Brown said, via SNY's Ian Begley.

It seems the Knicks' starting lineup will remain as usual, with Mitchell Robinson, Landry Shamet, Jordan Clarkson, and Deuce McBride coming off the bench.

No Jose Alvarado, whom the Knicks acquired at the trade deadline in February, but it makes sense. His play has trailed off in recent months.

We'll see if Brown is telling the truth once the playoffs actually roll around.
