Once the final seconds ticked away from a disappointing Philadelphia Eagles loss vs. the hated Dallas Cowboys in Arlington, three of the overarching themes wove their way into the fan base and national media. One, this loss shouldn't have happened. Two, there were many injuries. Three, there's no time to revel in misery. Another game must be played on a relatively short week with Black Friday providing the backdrop.

In addition to the frustrating result, Philadelphia's roster was ravaged by injury. The major issues affect the secondary. Adoree' Jackson will miss Week 13's game because of a concussion. Andrew Mukuba has been lost for the season.

One piece of the puzzle seems obvious. Sydney Brown steps in and starts at safety. The questions are about what Vic Fangio does at the cornerback position. The top two choices involve third-year star Kelee Ringo and the new guy, Michael Carter II.

The Eagles' plans at cornerback hinge on a decision between Michael Carter and Kelee Ringo.

If Ringo is in, he figures to start outside. If Carter is in, he'll most likely start in the slot, while Cooper DeJean starts outside opposite Quinyon Mitchell. Keep in mind the fact that Carter played 25 snaps in the slot vs. Dallas.

Moro Ojomo and Reed Blankenship also hobbled off the field injured in Week 12. They're good to go in Week 13. Wide receiver/punt returner Xavier Gipson, offensive tackle Myles Hinton, and the legend Lane Johnson have been ruled out of the lineup for Philadelphia.

The Bears are loaded on offense. Regardless of what the Eagles decide to do on defense, one thing is certain and evident. Vic Fangio's unit has its hands full with Ben Johnson and company in what should be a classic and a possible playoff preview.
