The Hurricanes made a huge addition to their 2027 recruiting class Wednesday evening.

Five-star defensive end Jaiden Bryant flipped his commitment from LSU to Miami, announcing his decision on social media.

Bryant, a Columbia, South Carolina, native, had been committed to LSU since January.

Bryant is listed as the No. 2 edge rusher and No. 20 player in the class, according to 247Sports’ composite ranking.

The star defensive end recently took his official visit to Miami.

Bryant, an Under Armour All-American, had 79 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, six fumble recoveries and one interception as a junior.

Bryant is a “potential impact player for a College Football Playoff hopeful,” according to his 247Sports scouting report.

The South Carolina star is the second edge rusher in Miami’s class, joining three-star rusher Jayson Dawson.

Bryant is also the fourth five-star prospect in the class, joining cornerback Donte Wright Jr., quarterback Israel Abrams and wide receiver Nick Lennear.
