University of Miami athletic director Dan Radakovich is expected to announce his retirement in the coming weeks, according to multiple reports from Friday, April 24.
Radakovich, 67, has served as Miami's athletic director since December 2021. He has overseen a renaissance of multiple Miami athletic programs, including the football team's run to the College Football Playoff final last season.
Ross Dellenger, senior college football reporter for Yahoo Sports, first reported the news. The report was later confirmed by multiple outlets, including ESPN's Andrea Adelson.
Radakovich, a 1982 graduate of the University of Miami Business School, is currently the longest serving athletic director in the Atlantic Coast Conference. He previously served as athletic director at Georgia Tech (2006-12) and Clemson (2012-21).
The Hurricanes' achievements under Radakovich also include breakthroughs on the basketball court. In 2023, the Hurricanes' men's basketball team reached its first Final Four while the women's team reached its first Elite Eight.
