Quentin Meza scored 20 points, and Joshua West added 16 points and seven steals as the Hawaii Pacific men’s basketball team defeated Dominican 83-77 on Saturday in San Rafael, Calif.

Josh Niusulu finished with 13 points and Nemanja Sarenac had 11 for the Sharks (8-4, 4-3 PacWest )

Michael Wilson scored 26 points, and Nick Medeiros added 18 points and nine rebounds for the Penguins (8-6, 3-5 ).—Isobel Crosswhite hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with one second remaining as the Dominican women beat Hawaii Pacific 71-68.

The Sharks’ Mya Hatchett hit two free throws with eight seconds left to tie it at 68-68. Crosswhite’s 3-pointer came off an assist from Kaylyn Buchanon.

Hatchett and Jalen Samuel each scored 15 points for the Sharks (3-10, 2-5 PacWest ).

Keyonee Neal scored 17 points, Crosswhite added 13, and Julianne Cotterill had nine points and 12 rebounds for the Penguins (11-3, 5-3 ).

UH Hilo basketball teams swept by Menlo Kai Brown scored 23 points as the Menlo men’s basketball team defeated Hawaii Hilo 79-70 on Saturday in Atherton, Calif.

Dre Nobles finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Julio Montes II and Alex Horiuk each added 14 points for the Vulcans (1-12, 1-6 PacWest ).

Nick High added 13 points and nine rebounds, and Devon Woods had 12 points for the Oaks (3-12, 3-6 ).—Alberte Frisch scored 26 points, and Kimberly Ceron-Romero added 14 points and eight rebounds as the Menlo women defeated Hawaii Hilo 67-61.

KeanuMarie Huihui scored 13 points and Kaile Cruz added 10 for the Vulcans (5-7, 3-4 PacWest ). Hilo led 23-16 at the end of the first quarter.

The Oaks (6-8, 4-5 ) went 14-for-18 from the free-throw line, while the Vulcans were just 6-for-8.
