Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (53-57)

SYRACUSE 10, COLUMBUS 6 (BOX)

Despite the fact that Jack Wenninger gave up five runs in the top of the second and six runs in total over the course of his start, Syracuse chipped away and tied the game in the bottom of the fifth. And then they put up a four spot in the bottom of the eighth after their bullpen put together four scoreless innings in relief of Wenninger.

Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (41-64)

BINGHAMTON 23, HARTFORD 3 (BOX)

You read that right: Binghamton scored a franchise record twenty-three runs on twenty-one hits in this one. The red-hot Mitch Voit had a five-hit night with five runs scored, tying a franchise record in the process. Recently-acquired infielder Billy Amick hit a pair of home runs and drove in six, and everyone in the lineup had at least one hit. Most of them had at least two. And if the offensive barrage weren’t enough, fellow recent addition Gary Gill Hill threw five scoreless innings in his first appearance in the org.

High-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (45-58)

BROOKLYN 3, WILMINGTON 2 (BOX)

The Cyclones scored their runs early, and six pitchers combined to limit Wilmington to two runs to get them to a win.

Single-A: St. Lucie Mets (47-56)

DAYTONA 17, ST. LUCIE 3 (BOX)

St. Lucie’s loss was nearly as lopsided as Binghamton’s win. Let’s just say that things didn’t go particularly well for the pitching staff in this one. Elian Peña had a solid night at the plate, at least.

Rookie: DSL Mets Orange (24-23)

DSL BLUE JAYS RED 2, DSL METS ORANGE 1 / 10 (BOX)

Rookie: DSL Mets Blue (18-29)

DSL METS BLUE 9, DSL NYY BOMBERS 8 (BOX)
