POTSDAM — The trio of Karenhisen Johnson with five goals, Drystan Cole with four goals and one assist and Drew Smutz with two goals and six assists continued as a three cylinder power package as NAC Champion Massena won the Section 10 Class C boys lacrosse championship Tuesday by downing Malone 14-3 at SUNY Potsdam.

The Raiders advance into the New York State Tournament and into a semi-final match with Class B representative Plattsburgh High in the Overall Section 10 Playoffs. The winner of the semi-final game will meet the Class D Champion for the Overall Section 10 title.

The Class D semi-finals will be held Wednesday night with second seed OFA hosting Canton and top seeded Potsdam entertaining Salmon River.

Other scoring for Massena in the Class C title game were Tristan General (1 goal, 1 assist), Jocko Skidders (1 goal), Colden Benedict (1 goal) and Justin Smutz (1 assist). Keegan Stowell finished with six saves in goal.

Blake Holthares scored two goals for Malone and Landyn Pierson tallied one. Kai Massaro made 10 saves in the Huskies’ goal.
