The Dallas Mavericks remain active this offseason after making sweeping changes to both their front office and roster. The organization recently appointed Masai Ujiri as President of Basketball Operations, while also adding Mike Schmitz to the front office and hiring Dusty May as the team's new head coach.

Despite those major moves and several roster additions, Dallas does not appear to be finished reshaping its team. According to NBA insider Chris Haynes, Ujiri is still exploring opportunities to improve the roster and is willing to make additional moves if the right deal presents itself.

“From what I was told, this was as of yesterday. Masai is very open to doing things, but he won’t make a change just to make a change. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Dallas Mavericks have something left up their sleeve,” Haynes said.

Dallas currently has a full 15-man roster and has also filled each of its three two-way contract spots. The team's latest move came as part of a blockbuster six-team transaction that sent AJ Johnson and Khris Middleton away in a sign-and-trade. In return, the Mavericks added Santi Aldama, Marcus Sasser, and the draft rights to European sharpshooter Tarik Biberovic.

Ujiri has built a reputation throughout his career for making unexpected blockbuster trades when rival executives least anticipate them. Given that track record, many around the league believe he will continue evaluating opportunities to strengthen the Mavericks' roster around Cooper Flagg and Kyrie Irving.

With training camp still weeks away, Dallas appears prepared to remain active if the right opportunity emerges.
