Ahead of Game One against the Los Angeles Kings in the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Mark Carney shared a message of support for his hometown team.

Carney’s fandom has been well documented. He shared posts on social media during the 2024 playoff run, voicing his support. Additionally, he took part in a morning skate with the Oilers earlier this year.

For the fourth consecutive season, the Oilers are competing against the Kings in the opening round of the playoffs. Over the last three seasons, the Oilers have a 12-6 record. However, the Oilers only have two losses on the road, giving them a 6-2 record when they aren’t at Rogers Place.

This year is a new year, and all bets are off when it comes to the postseason.
