Oilers April 2025 Schedule: The Big, Final PushEDMONTON – The end is in sight. They are missing their two best players, a critical forward, their number one goalie, their number one defender, and two players who joined the team this season.
That’s hardly a recipe for success. That is why the Oilers must pivot and have a new approach for the final stretch of games.
Oilers Must Throw Home Ice Advantage Out Of The Window
The Oilers are currently third in the Pacific Division, four points behind their frequent playoff opponent, the Los Angeles Kings. Both teams have played 77 games, and one will be against each other.
The contest will undoubtedly either have a significant impact on the standings or have no impact at all.
The Oilers would need to win two more games than the Kings over the final stretch to finish with the same number of points. However, given the injured players, the Oilers shouldn’t be concerned about that.

4 Reasons There Needs To Be A Connor McDavid BiopicEDMONTON – Movies are forever. The only way that the Oilers finish in first place in the Pacific Division is if the Vegas Golden Knights don’t win another game for the rest of the year and the Oilers win all of theirs.
At this stage of the season, their first-round playoff opponent is set. Home ice advantage is no longer an option and the Oilers must pivot and focus on getting everyone healthy (and up to speed) for Game One of the opening playoff round.
Until then, the Oilers need to play the right way every night in order to have good habits heading into the post season.
Game on.
