The NCAA tournament is finally here, and there’s no surprise as to who claimed the No. 1 overall seed on the women’s side of things this spring.

Geno Auriemma and UConn, after the Huskies’ dominant undefeated season, was named the top overall seed in the women’s NCAA tournament on Sunday night. The Huskies went a perfect 34-0 and rolled to blowout after blowout after blowout in the Big East. UConn averaged a win margin of 37.8 points per contest in the regular season, and only had one game finish within single digits back in November. The Huskies cruised to a 39-point win over Villanova to claim the Big East tournament title last week.

This was the 11th time that UConn has finished the regular season undefeated in program history. In seven of the past 10 perfect seasons, the Huskies ended up winning the national championship.

UConn will open the NCAA tournament against No. 16 UT-San Antonio. The Huskies will host, and will have No. 8 Iowa State vs. No. 9 Syracuse on the other side of their pod.

Here’s a look at the entire field in this year’s NCAA tournament.
