OHSAA postseason action heated up with boys basketball games in full swing and the Shenandoah girls punching their ticket to Sweet 16 regional action along with area wrestlers hitting the mats in sectional action. So Guernsey-Muskingum and Noble County area student-athletes put forth some top performances last week to produce plenty of worthy performances in the Daily Jeffersonian coverage area.
Take time to cast your vote for your choice during the Daily Jeffersonian Athlete of the Week for Feb. 23-Feb. 28.
High school sports fans can vote in this week's poll to pick their top performance. The poll runs until 5 p.m. Friday, Mar. 6.
Winners will be announced on The Daily Jeffersonian website. You can see the full list of winter winners so far below this week's polls.
Nominations for Athlete of the Week can be sent to [email protected] by noon Sunday. Please include the athlete's name, school and sport and a little about their accomplishment that week.

Dec. 15-Dec. 20: Presleigh Valentine, Meadowbrook girls basketball.
Jan. 5-Jan. 10: Vayda Neuhart, Buckeye Trail indoor track.
Jan. 12-Jan. 17: Masyn Campbell, Meadowbrook boys basketball.
Jan. 19-Jan. 24: Breighlee Moracco, Caldwell girls basketball.
