Vote for the Daily Jeffersonian Athlete of the Week (Jan. 26-Jan. 31)

Yet another week of reduced action due to uncooperative winter weather adversely affected the sports schedule for Guernsey-Noble County student-athletes. Area high school teams adjusted and still got in plenty of standout performances in the Daily Jeffersonian coverage area.

Listed below are some of those noteworthy efforts from area student-athletes during the week of Jan. 26-Jan. 31 from which to choose in our Daily Jeffersonian Athlete of the Week poll for the winter sports season.

High school sports fans can vote in this week's poll to pick their top performance. The poll runs until 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6.

Winners will be announced on The Daily Jeffersonian website.

Nominations for Athlete of the Week can be sent to [email protected] by noon Sunday. Please include the athlete's name, school and sport and a little about their accomplishment that week.

Dec. 8-Dec. 13: Jersey Eddy, Buckeye Trail girls basketball.

Dec. 15-Dec. 20: Presleigh Valentine, Meadowbrook girls basketball.

Jan. 5-Jan. 10: Vayda Neuhart, Buckeye Trail indoor track.

Jan. 12-Jan. 17: Masyn Campbell, Meadowbrook boys basketball.

Jan. 19-Jan. 24: Breighlee Moracco, Caldwell girls basketball.
