Softball kicked off Ohio High School Athletic Association postseason action for area student-athletes throughout Guernsey, Muskingum and Noble counties with plenty of noteworthy performances on area softball diamonds, along with regular season action winding down on the baseball diamond and track.
We've narrowed down the list and selected our nominees for our Daily Jeffersonian Spring Athlete of the Week for action from May 11 to May 16 during a busy week of high school spring sports.
Help us celebrate these hard-working local student-athletes by taking time to cast your vote for your choice for the Daily Jeffersonian Spring Sports Athlete of the Week for the week of May 11-May 16.
High school sports fans can vote in this week's poll to pick their top performance. The poll runs until 5 p.m. Friday, May 22.

Winners will be announced on The Daily Jeffersonian website.
Nominations for Athlete of the Week can be sent to [email protected] by noon Sunday. Please include the athlete's name, school and sport and a little about their accomplishment that week.
March 30-April 4: Dylan Blon, Barnesville baseball.
April 6-April 11: Paisley Williams, Cambridge girls track.
April 13-April 18: Ella Betts, Barnesville softball.
April 20-April 25: Jensen Parry, John Glenn baseball.
April 27-May 2: Sammy Brown, Buckeye Trail baseball.
May 4-May 9: Talon Bettinger, Caldwell track.
