Minnesota (9-2) defeated Seattle (3-9), 88-68, on Saturday in the WNBA Commissioner's Cup. The game was contested at Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. 10,801 were in attendance.
Former Lady Vol Jordan Horston started for the Storm and played 18 minutes. She scored seven points and converted 2-of-3 field goal attempts, 1-of-2 three-point attempts and 2-of-2 free throw attempts. The 6-foot-2 forward also recorded three rebounds and two assists.
Minnesota forward Natasha Howard led all scorers with 27 points.
Horston played at Tennessee from 2019-23. She was a two-time All-SEC First-team selection and a two-time Associated Press and WBCA All-America honorable mention.
Horston appeared in 114 games, including 91 starts, for the Lady Vols, recording 1,145 points, 731 rebounds, 455 assists, 109 blocks and 163 steals.
She was named to the 2023 WNBA All-Rookie Team and was the No. 9 overall selection in the 2023 WNBA draft. Horston went to Tennessee from Columbus Africentric Early College High School in Columbus, Ohio.
