Luciano Spalletti addresses the rumours that Juventus wants to sign

Alessandro Circati is the latest Parma player to enter Juventus’ radar as the Bianconeri look to improve their squad, and he appears to be a player Luciano Spalletti likes.

The defender is a top player who has captained the Australian national team in several matches, but Juventus are now looking to include him in their squad this summer.

Circati is just one of several defenders who have been linked with a move to the club, with the list also including Bologna’s Jhon Lucumi. However, Juventus need to make some sales before they can add another defender to their squad.

Juventus monitor Circati situation​

The Bianconeri currently have too many defenders, some of whom are not considered good enough for what Spalletti wants from his squad. There has also been little interest in their players so far this summer, making it difficult for the club to create space for another defensive addition.

Unless at least one of those defenders leaves the club, Juventus could struggle to sign another player in the position. Nevertheless, there is no doubt that they would like to sign Circati, although Spalletti has now addressed the rumours surrounding the defender.

As quoted by Sport Mediaset, Spalletti said:

“If we’re interested in Circati (Australian defender for Parma, ed.)? I think it’s promising, so it can be of interest to many clubs. But now we have in mind to do a few things and well defined. Things that don’t concern him. Our rose, at the moment, is very large.”

Spalletti addresses transfer rumours​

Spalletti’s comments suggest that Juventus are currently focused on other priorities and are not actively working on a move for Circati. The size of the squad is also an issue, with the manager acknowledging that the Bianconeri already have a large group of players.

Circati remains an appealing option for Juventus because of his quality and experience at international level. However, the club must first resolve the situation surrounding their existing defenders before they can seriously consider adding another one.

For now, the Australian defender remains on the list of players linked with Juventus, but the Bianconeri’s immediate plans appear to lie elsewhere. Circati could become a more realistic target if Juventus manage to make the necessary sales and create room in their squad.
