I don't know about Wilson but Lucas was NOT a playmaker.

"Okay in 5 years Lucas had 2 ints and 3 fumble recoveries.
Wilson in 3 years 6 ints, 2 total sacks, 3 forced fumbles. Give Lucas 3 years and Wilson still beats him."

Maybe Lucas could start for the old Cards but these are the new Cards the standards are being set a little bit higher.

I have seen evry game the Cards have played since 1990 except for one (last year's GB game).

Lucas is a playmaker.

Stats don't tell you how many times he helped dbl cvr a rec, knock the ball away, throw a rec off his route.

He's not an all-pro, but the guy does know football. If he was physically gifted as Adrian Wilson, he would be an all star.

I think it's horse crap that you come here, never having seen a game & talk about how you know what players are playmakers by looking at NFL.com.

You said he didn't wrap up on WRs or know how to cover WRs that has nothing to do with being a playmaker that has to do with being a good player and I haven't seen Wilson play so I can't comment on that.

Wilson's stats show MORE playmaking ability then Lucas. I don't know if Wilson is a playmaker but he made more big plays then Lucas. He is more of a playmaker then Lucas.

I can't believe people on here are crying cause DG cut back up Ss and DTs from the WORST the absolute worst team in the NFL... its like the other poster said from what the posts here you would think DG is breaking up the Steel Curtain or the Purple People Eaters.

We're not crying that he let Luke go. We are saying that the dude has skills & he was liked by the fans, in his limited opportunity, the guy made the best possible inthe limited time.

If Wilson (I like AW) had the ball savy of Lucas or Kwammie, the guy would be David Fulcher.

You just don't get it. Again, YOU haven't seen this team play. We know these players & this team better than any other fans in the league, just because of the situation with the team & the lack of fans.

We follow this team through bad & worse & are more knowledgable (sp!) than any other team.

How many other fans can break down a 1 gap & 2 gap system, know the diff betw a UT & DT, know what happens at every practice (more or less with reports form Jo, Ian, Skkorp, Melanie, Mike, Jim, Chrissy,etc) that is allowed to be reported?

It's not like you're on a Cowboys board where the only thing those ******** know is that "they are America's team" and the Tuna will win in Big D this year.

Ask them to break down a game, drive,play, etc & they will lokk at you funny.

We also have Waler Mitchell, Russ Smith, Wildman, Mike Terlizzi (Mad Card Disease), Alan, & many many mnay other great football minds that can tell why and how a coverage was blown because the TE went in motion to the weak side of the field, there was playaction fake, the SE ran post pattern while the flanker ran a cross with the slot receiver who burned the safety who, for a spit sceond, was caught off guard becausae of 1) the TE motion and 20 the PA fake.

Next time you THINK you know more about this team & the players on this team, that would be like me saying I know more about the Vikes than you because my next door neighbor follws them & I saw their last game last year - the game we won.

This has to be the most puzzling thing to me about this thread. I have no problem if someone doesnt like the cut if you thought he was a good backup.

But a "playmaker". Come on. He wasnt even a playmaker on special teams. If any thinks Lucas is a playmaker then you must think that Jackson is a God and the best thing since sliced bread.

You guys may not like VF or the way he gets his point accross but to go so far out of your way to call Lucas a playmaker to try and bring his opinion down is just as maddogkf would say utter horse crap.

I can see where you may have sen that.

What I meant to say was the guy was a nickel back for the most part - when a ball is overthrown or underthrown because of double coverage, they dn't show that.

Is there a stat to see how many times a guy was thrown at & how many times the rec caught the ball? That would be a good stat to see.

Where's arthur wehn we need him. That'd be a good job for an apprenctice.
