BATON ROUGE – LSU football's 2027 recruiting class is starting to pick up a heavy steam of momentum.

Lane Kiffin and company hauled in their second commitment on Monday and fourth in the last two days as four-star wide receiver Cade Cooper announced his commitment to the Tigers via his social media pages. Three-star athlete Markez Davis committed to the Tigers earlier Monday.

Cooper, the top 40 wide receiver in the country, becomes the eighth player to join LSU's 2027 recruiting class and is the second receiver in the class with fellow four-star Ah'Mari Stevens. Cooper chose LSU over Ole Miss, who was thought to be the favorite to land his services, as well as Ohio State and Auburn.
