LSU baseball missed on one of its top transfer targets. Left-handed pitcher Brody Trosclair committed to Tennessee on Monday, picking the Vols over several top programs. Along with Tennessee and LSU, Florida, Auburn, and Ole Miss were also interested in the lefty.

Trosclair, a Northwestern State transfer, was on LSU's radar. Jay Johnson and the Tigers are looking to upgrade the bullpen after LSU's pitching staff ranked near the bottom of the SEC in 2026.

Trosclair was a breakout freshman with the Demons this spring, tossing 38.0 innings with a 1.89 ERA. Trosclair struck out 55 and walked 11. Per 64Analytics, Trosclair is a top-300 player in the portal.

LSU's already added one transfer portal pitcher this cycle: Ex-Gonzaga right-hander Landon Hood. Expect LSU to add a few arms before the transfer portal closes.
