After Jeff Brohm’s first year as Louisville’s head football coach, the Cardinals had four players selected in the 2024 NFL Draft. This year, the team is looking to put more players in the league, starting with Tyler Shough, who was selected 40th overall in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft on April 26.
Shough was the first Louisville quarterback to hear his name called since the Baltimore Ravens drafted Lamar Jackson 32nd in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Louisville has now had at least one player drafted in five of the last six drafts, highlighted by offensive tackle Mekhi Becton going 11th overall to the New York Jets in 2020.
