FRANKLIN — The Franklin baseball team scored 12 runs in the fourth inning to beat Cranberry 19-4 in four innings to end the season on Friday.

Nolan Parry recorded four runs. Ian Higley and Darius Cassano had three runs, two RBIs and a double. Nate Fezell had four RBIs and two runs. Damian Cassano put up two runs. Luke Marsteller had five RBIs and Jake Saragian added four.

Franklin finished the season 11-9.

Cochranton scores 10 in third

COCHRANTON — The Cochranton softball team scored 10 runs in the third inning to beat Jamestown 10-0 in five innings to end the season on Friday.

Alaina Shorts and Makenna Mase recorded home runs. Shorts added two RBIs and a run and Mase added three RBIs. Madeline Brenot had two runs. Jaidin Frayer struck out 10 while only allowing two hits.

Cochranton ended the year 16-3 overall and Region 2 champions.

Orioles escape with win

OIL CITY — The Rocky Grove baseball team scored three runs in the seventh inning to escape with a 7-6 win over Oil City to end the year on Friday.

Dillon Hamilton had two runs for Rocky Grove. Xavier Gordon added a run, an RBI and added five strikeouts, while only allowing one hit on the mound.

Casey Rybak recorded two runs, a double and an RBI for Oil City. Carter Bialo added two runs and an RBI.

Rocky Grove finished the season 9-9 overall.

Oil City ended the year 7-12 overall.
