NORMAL — The Chatham Glenwood girls basketball team is making its second Class 3A championship game appearance in three years.
The Titans (30-4) meet Washington (34-2) on Saturday, March 7 at 4 p.m. after a 46-35 victory over River Forest Trinity in the semifinal round. Washington knocked off Arlington Heights St. Viator 55-34.
Washington opened the season with a 67-25 victory over Glenwood on Nov. 20. This will be the first state title for either program.
The Panthers are making their second straight state appearance (and third overall) after earning third place last season.
