For the third consecutive season, the Scituate High boys lacrosse team is playing for a state championship.

The Sailors (16-7) are trying to defend their 2025 Division 3 title against top-seeded Dracut (21-1) on Saturday, June 13 at Worcester State University at 11 a.m.

During their run to the state title last season, Scituate ended Dracut's season with a 10-9 triumph in the Elite Eight. During that run, the No. 5 Sailors knocked No. 1 Medfield and No. 3 Falmouth. This time around, No. 3 Scituate has taken down No. 2 Norwell and will try to defend No. 1 Dracut.

Dracut's lone loss came to Billerica (No. 1 seed in Div. 2) in the season opener. The Middies enter the state final having won 21 games in a row.

State-championship history

Saturday marks Scituate's sixth state-championship appearance. The Sailors are 3-2 in state finals. Scituate appeared in three consecutive finals from 2007-09, winning in 2008 and 2009. This trip marks another another stellar three-year run for the Sailors. Scituate lost in 2024 to Medfield but defeated Falmouth in 2025.

This marks Dracut's first trip to a state championship.
